Sir Christopher Meyer KCMG
I am so pleased to inform to you that we are very much hoping to have the honour of Sir Christopher Meyer KCMG our former British Ambassador to the United States as our speaker on or around the 23rd February 2018.
From his meteoric career, it would be fair to say that Sir Christopher has probably amassed the most powerful list of friends and colleagues of global influential that one could ever hope to find. If not only from having served from 1997 to 2003 as the British Ambassador to the United States, He was also the former Ambassador to Germany as well as numerous senior posts at the British Embassies in Moscow, Brussels and Madrid. If that was not enough for anyone, upon “retiring” in 2003 he returned to London, and within weeks took on the monumental task of Chairman of the Press Complaints Commission. In addition to this, he is also a highly accomplished author, commentator and broadcaster.
Sir Christopher could easily be described as one of the architects and true embodiment of contemporary Diplomacy.
For anyone with even the smallest interest in global affairs or trade, this is a totally unique opportunity to not only hear from, but actually meet one of the “greats” of English and Global diplomacy.
In order to secure Sir Christopher’s time with us, out of his busy diary, may we please ask that you express your interest and commitment if you wish to attend this lunch within the next week or so, and the number of places you wish you reserve. We are planning to limit the numbers of members to the lunch to make this a truly unique and as personal lunch with Sir Christopher as possible. So please let us know as soon as possible.
