Berry Brothers & Rudd
Berry Brothers & Rudd
This November we will be holding an exciting event in Partnership with Berry Bros. & Rudd, who needs no introduction to any of us.
As probably one of the World’s most famous and recognised businesses and brands, not only as Britain’s oldest wine and spirit merchant but more importantly, as having the Honour of holding Two Royal Warrants for H.M. The Queen and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales. An Honour that started in 1760 when they first supplied our Royal Family under George III.
Established by the Widow Bourne in 1698, and still trading today from the same shop in St James Street. Alone with the Honours of Royal Warrants the company’s fantastically colourful history, encompasses wines on board the Titanic, supplying smugglers running alcohol into Prohibition-era America, and sheltering Napoleon III in cellars beneath the shop.
Today, its World Class reputation is protected by members of the original Berry and Rudd families who continue to own and manage the family-run wine merchant. Under their stewardship, the company has grown to have offices in Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, a Wine School along with an exclusive fine wine and dining venue in London’s St James’s. They carefully select and hold over 4000 wines for sale sourced by an unbelievable team of Six Masters of Wine who ensure they offer style, quality, individuality and value.
They are kindly offering us a lunch and speaker on “The Fine Wine Market and Investment Wines”
The talk would be given by a member of their Fine Wine Team who would join the lunch as well as Mr Guy Rodger and Ms Rebecca Lamont (both fellow members of The Lunch Circle) and a tasting manager and possibly Mr Will Lyons who writes for the Sunday Times.
Their lunch is on Thursday 16th November, they are offering an unbelievable special price for the lunch of only £55pp inc VAT . The lunch will include an aperitif and 3 wines and a 3 courses lunch, designed by their Head Chef, Mr Stewart Turner, who is Michelin Star trained. The lunch can be booked by calling the wine school box office on 0203 301 1682 and their team can take payment for the booking there and then.
Due to this incredibly exclusive and unbelievable offer, there are only 40 places available, so please book now, as this is truly a unique offer, so to the fellow oenophile among us, please bring yourself and your friends, colleagues and clients along to this amazing event.
We cannot wait to see you there.
