In October 2014, Dr. Edward Salazar, US Foreign Services (ret). Ed discussed with us “Putin Adventurism — A New Cold War or Simply Controlled Chaos?”

Ed Salazar, a former US Diplomat, is an independent consultant focusing on international policy analysis, political risk assessment and nation-branding and promotion.  His area of specialisation is the former Soviet Union, particularly Russia and Ukraine.  As a former US diplomat, Ed spent 8 years in Russia and also directed the State Department’s Ukraine Desk.  In addition, he represented the US at NATO’s Political Committee.

Ed has extensive experience in public diplomacy, executive training, and project management and we were lucky enough to be given an insight into his experiences  and opinions on the current state of affairs at the time. This was a highly educational and thought provoking speech given by Ed.
